For four days puppets will take over the city of Santa Barbara. The Santa Barbara International PuppetPalooza is a family-centric event (with plenty of night time fun for adults, too!) that includes two park celebrations and over twenty performances and events at venues throughout Santa Barbara. This multicultural, bilingual festival will bring children, families, visitors and artists from all over the globe together for an unforgettable experience!

Santa Barbara is home to the first ever Earth Day Festival which started after a devastating oil spill which initiated the Environmental Movement. This Free 2 day Festival continues on every year.
Now in its 48th year, this year’s festival will take place April 21-22, 2018 at Alameda Park.

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival is an eleven-day film festival held in Santa Barbara, California since 1986. In 2014, the festival screened over 200 films, including feature films and short films, from different countries and regions.

The Summer Solstice Parade draws crowds of over 100,000 spectators from around the world. It has evolved into a creative and original display of floats, giant puppets, whimsical costumes and masks of more than 1,000 parade participants. There is dancing, music, drumming and performances.
