Attention wine lovers and connoisseurs!
The new Wine Collection of El Paseo just added two new wineries to their collection, Happy Canyon Vineyard and Jamie Slone Wines.
“Santa Barbara and the Urban Wine Trail has really come alive the last few years with wine tasting opportunities for visitors. Those that seriously appreciate the wine and food experience can start their journey here at the new Wine Collection of El Paseo. I’m pleased to welcome Happy Canyon Vineyard and Jamie Slone Wines to this collection, ” says Jim Clendenen, winemaker of Au Bon Climat Winery. The Wine Collection of El Paseo features the six wine tasting rooms of Grassini Family Vineyards, Au Bon Climat Winery, and Margerum Wine Company who just opened MWC32, an additional tasting room for their reserve and limited production wines.
The collection is located in the Historic El Paseo center on State Street in Downtown Santa Barbara, and features wineries and wine from local Santa Barbara Country vineyards. “The experience at the new Wine Collection of El Paseo is very different from other wine tasting areas and is attracting a different demographic. Our visitors are not only interested in locally-crafted, small-production, distinctive wines, but also have a keen interest in the educational aspects, including learning about the terroir where the grapes are grown,” says Doug Margerum, owner of Margerum Wine Company. The Wine Collection of El Paseo’s six tasting rooms are open daily from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.. Street parking is available surrounding El Paseo, and valet parking is available on-site.
