At Jamie Slone Wines, we are dedicated to sustainability. Grapes are one of Earth's great gifts and as winemakers, we are responsible for being thoughtful stewards and reducing our impact on the planet when we make our wines.

Our Sustainability Practices:

  • Reduce Carbon Footprint: We reduced the weight of our wine bottles, reducing our carbon footprint by 25%! From package production to transportation, we are actively making choices to be more environmentally friendly.
  • Source Fruit from Organically Farmed Vineyards: Does organic mean sustainable? Yes! Without pesticides, there is more extensive plant diversity in the vineyard. This helps deliver more oxygen and nutrients into the soil and enhances biodiversity. One of our favorite organically farmed vineyards that we have sourced from is John Sebastiano in the famous Sta. Rita Hills!
  • Minimize Unnecessary Waste: Back in 2019, we decided to get rid of our wine foil tops. Wine foils serve no protective purpose and are just one more thing that ends up in our landfills. Besides, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to get to your wine!
  • Shipping with Recycled Packaging: We took the steps to move to a shipping company that uses 99% recycled materials to ship wine. We no longer ship using styrofoam and exclusively ship using pulp trays. The next time you order wine from Jamie Slone Wines, you'll be doing your part to help reduce harmful greenhouse gases.
